first winter snow[ oh yuk ]

the hills west of town were covered with fresh snow this morning.
i am just not ready for this c5rap to start.

Yeah that damn warming...... I got not a day of summer. The garden went in late, suffered for the wet and cold and 1/2 the crop isn't .... I have had 2 hard frosts in the high 20's, and will loose more crops for it.

I saw on the news this morning that it was snowing in parts of Wyoming. It's just a matter of time before it hits here. You can keep it, Landman!

I know the snow is coming, sooner than later, but remember, it is better here than in Az or Ca or Tx where they fry in the heat for 9 months. I can wait out winter. Ya, ya, ya. Easy to say now but I will have cabin feaver along about February. That is why God invented fly fishing and the art of fly tying.

I don't even want to see a flake for at least another few weeks. My snowblower is buried in the shed and Im quite happy with that for now.

I know, but neither do I!!! I think it's going to freeze for the first time here tonight, as it's in the upper 40s right now and the sky just cleared out. They have a freeze advisory posted for tonight as well.

I love the snow! Actually, I really enjoy all four seasons. That's why I live where I do. Love the hot summer days, but couldn't do that long term down on the surface of the sun where CJ lives. Love the snow, but couldn't do way up north where it stays around too long. I work all over the country, but Colorado will always be home for me.
Now, that being said, it does seem to be a bit early this year.

Audiogooroo, I remember my three years spent in your beautiful city of Colorado Springs. We had a few snows each year but seems they melt off fairly quickly and the road crews are great and keep the roads pretty much clear.
