rubber grommets

I did the silver bullet light install on my turn signal bracket. It seems to me that the lights make the bracket vibrate more due to the added weight. I took off the rubber grommets where it attaches to the bike. Any thoughts on the importance of the rubber grommets?

I can't think of any other than it dampens the vibrations and probably helps the lamps last longer.

Rubber mts assist the bulb filliments, but you may find the bulbs do ok just the same. Got a link I am not too sure I know what a silver bullet lamp is.

Is this a replacement for the sigs, or some added on lamp to the stem/stock?

Silver Bulletts are driving lights. If you go to tips/installs at the top of the page you will see the install info with pics.

Second row, third to the right.???? Huh What??? OH there it is!!!!

first time I even looked at all that blather! Thank you Al...

The funny E-3 bulb there and i know I am wrong, on the part number, but it is a E-3 55 watt halogen in a lensed backed holder, and I am aware you need the right number to replace the bulb.

Anyway I run a set of those mounted on the clear lowers under the sigs and they jounce around plenty on my dirt road. So far they work with the original bulbs.

I am not happy about the white oxide that has smeared it self all over the inside of the bulb and no one can clean, but they work ok just the same.
