Thumbs Up Edmonds saddlebag shelves

Ordered up a set of shelves and for $63 tmd and I must say I am impressed. Very well done, fast shipping, good quality, reasonable price, etc..

I don't see how you all think it's lost space? More of organization thing.

When I bought my first Nomad, it had these installed. I thought they were great. I used them for about the first year. The more I packed for different trips, though, the more I found them to be less of a help. Eventually, I put them on a shelf. I think they are still there. If you are packing for yourself, I believe they would be most helpful. But like the others said, when moma needs space, all bets are off. Careful, they are sturdy but will crack. If you are going to use them, then I highly suggest you pack below them for support before you pack on them.

Doyle, what Paul sdais and also, my laptop will just fit in the bag now.
If there was a shelf in there the laptop would not fit.
I also have the saddlebag liner/case things I pack my stuff in so I can just bring everything into the motel in them.

Ditto on what Tim wrote. The way to get the most in the saddle bags and keep it organized is put the stuff in a saddle bag liner first IMO. At the end of a days ride the liner bag (s)comes out in one piece and you look semi respectable at the reception desk.
A bonus is my wife knows if it fits in her liner bag she can bring it on the trip.

I found a good deal on these about a year ago, and once we started using them I wish I had gotten them several years earlier.

And what he said about helping with the Wife's packing.........YES YES YES AND YES!!!!

That's what I would do Doyle. I have the liners as well and that's why I said the shelves would not work for me but that would be a good idea if you are not traveling.
