Thumbs Up Pipes, Air and Map Installed

Just finished up installing V&H slipons I got for Christmas (Thanks Amazon) along with Chuckster's BAK (Thanks Joe). Then installed new map for PCV (Thanks Ken). Took it for a quick test drive. Sounds and runs awesome. Didn't notice any backfiring but it is only 50 degrees. The radio requires a few more notches of volume, but I could still hear it just fine.Very easy installs if you're at all comfortable with a wrench. Can't wait for Spring!

Got my motorcycle stimulus package today (tax refund). Always enjoy adding something new to mine. When I added my stock air kit and Gman controller, was amazed at how much better it ran, still have stock pipes with baffles drilled. This year am getting a Clearveiw shield and maybe a TomTom Rider 5. Rear tire topping the list.

Hey when I went to put the pcv it told me to splice into yellow wire on ecu. I found 2 yellow wires. Which one did you attach it to?

Coach, It's been a few months but if I recall you need to study the location of the yellow wire in the picture from the instructions in relation to the plug . That will show you which one. I had the same issue. Hope this helps.

I am good Man. Just been busy around the house and working. I ride when I can. Went around Lake Okeechobee last Sunday. It was a beautiful day to ride. I hope the map works well for you.

There are NO COMPARISONS between the 2 Units. The EJK does NOT have anywhere near the fine tuning capabilities of a PCV, so overall performance with a PCV is MUCH BETTER than with the EJK.

PERIOD

Exactly what Ray said. I tried absolutely every possible configuration with the EJK. Even had Dobeck send me a reprogram unit and they worked with me, sending me different programs including adding a Decel Fuel mode and nothing got rid of the popping exhaust that plagued me. I finally threw in the towel, sold the EJK and bought the PCV with ignition control. Best decision I ever made. No more popping and the bike runs like a raped ape with great gas mileage.
