Vaquero solo rack

Anyone tried the solo quick release rack with the original seat.. Just wondering if it will fit without buying the solo seat...

I use the solo rack with the original seat on my 2012 Vaquero and it works fine. There are some marks on the seat when I remove the rack but they are very shallow and go away.

The rack covers about 3" of the stock seat. It really won't work if you are thinking about using it to mount a trunk and put a passenger on the back.

Thanks for the replies thought this post died. I am just looking for a flat place to put my helmet bag when going on trips. I would like to make a quick release trunk also. But this helps. Just got back from a 2400+ trip and stapping the helmet was alway a pain. Thanks guys

That's exactly what I use it for, to carry a saddleman bag for long trips. It would not be practical to try and get a passenger on at the same time.

Believe that some have done it themselves by removing the bezel and using plasti-dip or another alternative. Good luck.
