Trip to Nationals

It's a little over 700 miles for me. I probably could do it in one day but I don't think I'd enjoy it as much.

As time gets closer we may be able to meet up somewhere along the way there is a rest area on 75 just after 59 connects maybe we could meet there as I don't care anything about riding the interstate if I can avoid it but I will have a little interstate around Chattanooga.

We were going to attempt doing it in one day but I talked myself out of it. Over 700 is a bit far for the wife.

The same offer I wrote to Zoom goes for you and anyone else that would be interested for that matter. We plan to spit it up into two days. Birmingham is a little over half way and makes a good overnight stop. We plan to stay in a hotel there and we have reservations at the "Base" hotel in Maggie Valley.

We will be leaving on the 11th, taking Hwy 70 to Little Rock Then I 40 to Memphis then Hwy 64 the rest of the way. The wife likes leisurely travel, but if we get our new Russel Day long she may like to ride more miles

Kelli and I are going to be in Akron, Ohio the 10th thru 12th. Then, we will drop down from there the 12th, and come to the nationals.

Hey Revmrq,
We haven't picked a route yet, but my dad will be leaving Warrensburg, MO Sunday afternoon, and then we'll leave together Monday morning from Fairview Heights, IL (Eastern St Louis metro). You're welcome to meet up with us monday, or we can meet you if you've ridden past us already.

It would be great to have a group from Missouri traveling together. As it gets closer maybe we can all arrange to meet up.

Wow, you guys are way ahead of me on planning. I just gave the wife the warning the other day that I was going, and that she was welcome to join me

She complains about riding that far on her Suzuki C50T. It's geared a bit lower than my Nomad. She's been hinting around for a bigger bike for a bit now.
