Trip, we may have time for a KNOW session on the Zumo. Do you use MS Streets and Trips to load routes on your Zumo or Mapsource?

I actually use the MapSource software that comes with your Zumo, Mitch. I am able to use MS Streets and Trips, but have never done it. I'll bring my laptop and show you how I use MapSource if you want me too. I find it easier to use. Plus, my 550 has to have the routes in a certain format or they won't work. Maybe your Zumo is different.

On another note, I need to clean out my master cylinder reservoirs and replace & bleed my brake fluid... front and back. Since I'm not the greatest mechanic in the world. If I bring the brake fluid, can somebody at the KNOW Session help me clean, bleed and replace my fluid?

Put the Nomad in the shop today. Getting the overheating problem I had at Antlers checked. Also having new brake fluid put in both front and back brakes. Hopefully I'll get it back by Friday.. lol.

I'll bring my Mighty Vac hand vacuum pump just in case someone needs to replace the fluids.

Trip, No need to bring your laptop unless you need to bring it along. I will have mine. I already have Mapsource loaded on it. I played around with it after work this morning but was dozing off at the keyboard. I have my route saved on the Zumo already. I'll be coming up I-49 and taking I-20W. I forget the highway I'm exiting on. Don't have the GPS with me at work.

My Zumo says I need to shoot down I-20 and go South on 67 to Alvarado. Then on to Keene.

I hope to get to BillMac's by 10-10:30am. Usually, I stay off the slab, but it will take a lot longer if I go the Hillsboro route... so the slab it is.

I look forward to seeing everyone there... that is if I get my Nomad back on Friday.

KNOW Session NOV 6 (Sat) 20 miles S. of Ft Worth

I have been in Austin the last few days to Halloween with my grandsons. Rode the Nomad down there and noticed my back tire is about 2/32nds. Jeez, I have 4900 miles on the bike. Cheryl and I are trailering the Nomad to Calif coast and leaving on Sunday after the KNOW Session. So I called RL2Tires and asked RL to order me a 180 Cobra. (I was undecided about doing another car tire. I will talk more about that later). RL told me he will install the tire Thursday or Friday. ( $250 ttl & mounted and balanced).

I have found a couple of mattress pads to go along with the couch for those wanting to rest in the man cave and leave out Sunday morning. The cave has some traffic noise, but I have slept many of nights in there. Bathroom, heat, ac, refrig, microwave, stereo, big screen w/all channels on dish network. It aint the Regency but is better than camping. :)

My shop is located: 4421 County Road 805B Cleburne, Texas

Don't let the address fool you. The shop is located closer to Keene than Cleburne. It is on the corner of CR805B and FM 2280. It is 3 miles north of Keene, Texas on FM2280 and three miles west of I-35W.

GPS Coordinates: N32 26.704 W97 18.517

Need anything, My cell number is 817XX680XX6001

As far as bringing anything, I hope there is no need. (Tell Lin thanks for the offer Al.) If anyone has any special food or drink needs, they may want to bring that.

Oh, computers were mentioned. The cave/shop has high speed wifi. In fact the shop is on 3 acres and it is all a hot spot. Password is billmac's last name. :)

Same here, Exit on 464B to US-67 then onto I-35W to Joshua then onto FM-917/Joshua. GPS says 7 hrs 32 min. I'm figuring more like 9 hours with the fuel and lunch stops. Leaving here around 06:30 Friday morning should put me at Bill's ~ 15:00 - 16:00 that afternoon. Sure hope I-20 around Dallas/Ft. Worth won't be too bad when I get there.

Mitch,
Count on I-20 being crowded and obnoxious between Longview and Terrell. Ride defensively.

I don't know how many millions of people live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, but I know traffic is a nightmare. Especially on friday afternoon.

Mitch and Trip. I-20 to Hwy67 is the route I would take. You can avoid Fort Worth and Arlington traffic. Thats a million folks in just those two cities.

Go thru Alvarado on 67 to I-35W. North on I-35W 2 or 3 miles to the FM917 Joshua exit. Go over the freeway and west 2 miles. You don't go to all the way to Joshua and don't turn at the railroad tracks. Again, don't turn at the tracks. The road continues south and changes from FM 917 to FM 2280. I am one mile on the right on the corner of FM 2280 and 805B. Look for the "Danny Bogart Roofing" sign on FM2280. (the sign is in front of my shop for $ and help people think shingles are in the shop. :) Anyway when you see the sign, slow and turn right on 805B. Turn in the driveway, relax, and have a good time.

Did I say, don't turn at the tracks. Someone will turn and end up in Joshua 10 miles away. :)

Guys this really sounds like a great session. I was wanting to attend but found out that I need to be at a budget meeting on the 6th. I was holding out because I thought this might happen. Have a great time and don't forget to set your clocks for the ride home. ;)
