What is the model Sony stereo you have? How is it working out?

Bobby it is a Sony XPLOD I paid about $80.00 or $90.00 for it can't remember but it has worked fine it has a CD player but all Cd players will jump on a motorcycle when you hit bumps so I don't use it much don't want to have to change Cd's going down the road. I have a hidden antenna under the outer fairing don't know how well it picks up as I have only used it a couple of times. I bought the radio so I could plug my GPS in and the GPS has a mp3 player so if I want to I can listen to that but the main thing is so I can hear my GPS. I have a pair of boss weather proof speakers that work fine. The number of the radio is CDX-GT240 hope this helps.

I used a marine cover I bought from e-bay but I never close the cover, how big is the hole for your radio?

It's the standard Harley size which seems bigger than normal. I guess I can make a plate out of aluminum with a hole cut in it to fit the radio. I'm like you didn't care for a radio but it would be nice so you can hear the gps through the speakers.

Bobby the radio comes with a single den that is a little bigger than the radio if the hole is to big I would get the marine cover even if you don't close the door. Just ride it up here and we will have a know session the temp. here is 29 degrees good riding weather

I'm finishing up Vickie's car where I painted the door and fender last night then I'm going to paint mine and a friends fairing next week (both harley black). That PPG paint is expensive! I was going to finish it before I put it back together. I still need to figure out what gauges and switches I want to use.
