I observed the same when I joined a charity ride. My Nomad (almost brand new at the time) would not get up to speed as fast as HDs... Then I noticed the same thing when I was riding my Nomad and HDs back to back in demos.

Regardless I enjoyed my Nomad and it was hard to let her go.

Geez...

Let's get back to riding and quit the BS about other bikes... Ride what you like, tolerant what you don't.

And Joel... what was that wise-crack about being short?
Hey, I didn't say anything!

Looks about the same to me. There are plenty 2007-08 Ultras around me on craigslist for about 15000 that have had many extras added. Everyone, missed the point. I said this is why I bought the Voyager. I had my 05 1500 classic for 7 years after putting 40,000 miles on it. My trade in allowance was 5000.00 off of the 16,800 I paid. Only paid 8500.00 for it new. Harley wanted 16,000 for a fatboy at the time. I see 05 fatboys advertised for 10,000
Looks like this 2009 Voyager is having a hard time selling for $11K now.

Maybe he was accounting for the upcoming inflation bump?

That's a pretty good price considering the mileage. I'm obviously partial to Vulcans and though no bike is perfect, I love riding my Nomad but I couldn't give less of a rat's ass what anyone else is riding. Is some of the hoopla around harley a little goofy? Sure but they have some damn nice bikes too and the harley riders in the VBA that I've met were a pleasure to meet.

It doesn't even have ABS...That said, bikes like that are sitting at dealers here for 14K and they don't sell. I've even seen new Vaquero's advertised at the MSRP OTD. To me, that's too much.

One thing I did notice about that ad was the words "clear title". ;>)

Meaning that it doesn't have a lean on it and it's free and clear of encumbrances. That would be a good thing.

Our bikes have been winterized and no riding till mid March for me. But I look at the photos, especially the Harley photos, the speakers are cranked all the way up and the pictures are in full screen.

It still has a couple hours to go, but I doubt it will get close to his asking price.
