TYRES?

All, I know this is covered well in the main threads however, some of the kit that is available in the US (and other places) is either hard to find or non existant. Sea Foam for one, I run Bridgys on my old girl and find them petty good, I'm a fat arse (116kgs) and with a full load and the child bride on board get a bit of noise and movement especialy when going slow or into roundabouts etc. Do any of you run METZ tyres? From what I can gather they seem to be the best around especially with the increased dia which rectifies the speedo problem. Can get them out of Sydney but prices dont compare to the US price, even with the US v Oz exchange rate.

Hi AJ
Both EDS and myself run the Metzler tyres and the differance from the stones is quite noticable
I also am a lard arse as you can see by the pic 130kg I run 42lb in the rear and have no problems with them they handle better and the ride and road noise is very good.
There is a mob in Geelong Road & River that stock them but I buy through my local dealer here in Altona they cost me around the $300 mark and $335 fitted you could also try Bob Jane tyres.

yep metzler i took my brigestone off yesterday and put on metzler and went to eildon today it was magic.

Bit of contention there M/C Eds,Ron and John all ride 2008 Red&Black Nads we all ride with the same club here in the Western suburbs as well as 1 new member who also owns a 2008
Alistair he will be on the Castlemain ride as well anyway EDS had the 1st one and everyone has realized what a great bike the Nomad is and changed over to them unfortunately they are all Red & Black so I continually rib EDS about the clones mind you EDS has personalized his quite a bit and it would be by far the best looking 2008 in Melbourne unfortunately not as good looking as mine as you will see on Sunday 18th.
That should fire him up,seriously though we are all good friends and ride together most of the time especialy EDS and myself.
