If I was going to add a trunk I'd use the Scootworks SuperTrunk III

Just my 2 cents

I think that the rounded look of the 1st generation Yamaha Ventures matches a Nomad the best of any trunk.

Look at Audioguru's posts and see one on his sig pic.

Yea that might be true Dan, But how hard do you think it would be to find one of those in good enough shape to get it mounted on your bike. I found one on e-bay and it has scratches all over it and needs all new hardware and it doesn't come with any of the backrest. Now if it's a major project your looking for then yep that's the way I'd go .

But me if I'm about to do something like that I'd probably go with the new to begin with. But that's just me

Here is another place to find a trunk they comes painted color-matched (two tones/pinstripping), black leather backrest seat, locking devices and chrome support rack

I don't.

Try photoshopping it onto your bike and see what you think.

Gotta agree with you there Scoot.

I got one, ordered hinges for it and found that lid didn't line up. Ordered another one, lid didn't line up either. The seller told me to just keep it and refunded all but shipping. I finally got a 3rd one with key and backrest and works as it should.

I still think it's curved look is the best match, but its hit and miss on how easy it is to do.

Not cheap, but they look good and they paint to match. They make fairing and trunks.

HD trunks are good, look on Ebay, there are lots of accessories available also, such as racks, lights, backrests, speakers etc.

I've been looking at the above for a couple of weeks for a trunk for my bike. Don't know anything about the company or the product. Just my $00.02 -Rich

redeye,

I know a couple of people who bought trunks like that. General comments have been, look nice but not really sturdy. One individual had one and it cracked in less than a year's use.

Take a look at the one on ebay. no. 250208295532. It might be what you're looking for.

finding a trunk

I just registered at KawaNOW, seems to be a good site.
I bought one off of E-bay # 250208295532. I have a 2007 Nomad all black, and this trunk looks like it belongs on the bike. I had to build a mounting bracket that bolts on to the same holes that the stock backrest mounts on.
I lined the inside with some grey colored felt, it gives it a "richer" look. Its kinda light, but the bottom is reinforced for sturdy mounting, the back rest may have to be re done with some softer foam--have to wait and see what the wife thinks, well worth $100.
I live in ND so I am waiting patiently waiting for spring to try it out.

I could post a picture if you would like.
