Chilhowee Leathers

Doc I purchased my tank bra from them last year. Call them they are real nice people to deal with. They will make it any way you want it, at least last year they were totaly open to any suggestions. If you find one you like under a different brand of bike tell them chances are they can make it for you. I really like mine I just wish it had more studs put in but that was my fault. I also purchased my jacket from them naked leather pistol pete Its one heavy weight jacket very well made although I think the jackets are imports. I dont remember what I paid for my tank bra but is nicely made and durable I use it all the time Either glasses, cigarettes, cell phone, keys, what evers in my pockets that will fit in their that were it goes.

Yes I ride a 2006 Nomad. http://www.chilhowee.net/kawasaki-mo...tank-bibs.html If you follow this link it has the nomad listed Its right next to the tank bra pictured on the red tank. That is almost the same one that I have. It seems strange to me that they are saying no unless they discontinued it. But since the make each one to order it seems dumb that they discontinue due to the fact of no inventory. Its also possible that you got to talk to a new person. I would try and call again I know that they had them.

My buds and I stopped in at Chillowee Leathers in Grant's Pass, OR. on our ride to Crater Lake. They where very friendly...didn't see any Native Americans anywhere though. They have a very small showroom, so most of their stuff must be mailordered I guess. Most of the items I saw where foreign made, but I did see a couple leather workers in the parking lot checking a template for a tank bra on my bike (2005 Nomad).

I just looked on their web page and they say that they make their own products, so I'll retract my statement about having mostly forgein made stuff. I was referring to jackets and such, not the custom accessories.

The 1600 classic's tank is the same as the 1600 Nomad. My best friend has one and we asked around about that little thing. Both bike were in the shop at the same time with the tanks removed. - They are the same!

Chilhowee Leathers

2 years ago, I purchased my favorite pair of unlined deer skin gloves from Chilhowee Leathers. Butter soft, perfect fit and 2 yrs later, they still look brand new. Not like a pair of Icons
that wore out in the same time frame even though I didn't
wear them 1/2 as much. My favorite jacket is one of their Naked Leather Racer's. Soft, felt already broke in from the 1st day I got it and still looks brand new after 2 years and I wear it 2/3ds of the year. The gloves were made by them, the jacket I've seen on
other sites but at a higher price. Not sure of the brand. Haven't tried any of their cycle products but I'm pleased with what I have got from them.
Ride safe,
Dano

I got my lever covers and mud flaps from Chilhowee Leathers and they are all top quality. Customer service is top notch! I'm going to order a self-designed tank bra of which I will make a templet for my 06 Nad 1600. I want the leather to come down to protect the tank where my legs rub on the tank closer to the seat. They will make it custom for me. They are not cheap, but the quality is great and like I said the customer service is top notch. BnG

Take the rest of the money and put it toward one of Lonnie's backrests Doc. You can thank me for the advice later ;)
