Any Nomads w/ Reckless fairing in South Florida?

Hello all,
I've decided I'm going to give Reckless a try with their fairing, more specifically for my 1600 Nomad.

I have decided I want the 4x5" speaker setup as the 2x 6.5" won't leave much room for anything else anyway, and the 2x 6"x9" is just not my style.

I was hoping there would be someone in South Florida with one (any of the 3, really) that I could check out in person?
I'll bring beer with me!

TIA!!!!

Hey Dooley!
I'm not anywhere near South Florida, and I don't have a reckless fairing, but you're more than welcome to bring me some beer! :)

I'm with Daryl on the beer and I live a lot closer to you than he does.

I have a Reckless fairing, I like to drink beer (especially when somebody else buys) and I'm only 2500 miles away in AZ. Come on over.

What about me Aldo. do I get some beer?

All I did was turn you on to this site.

Glad you like the 1600. I saw an 08 Fri at a local dealer with a sticker of $8???, and an 08 V2K LT for $10000.

I think I want a V2K.

Bring the new bike and the beer to NC.

Tim, you only get some Tequila.
Glad to see most around here are into a cold one, me thinks it's time to start planning to attend a rally or 2.

On a more serious note.....no one in South Florida?
How about anyone else who's now watching this thread, does the 4x 5" setup leve any room for small gauges and/or switches, 12V sockets etc?

I used the 5" speakers but only 2 of them, I told Alex to cut the wrong 2 holes I wanted the outside holes for speakers but this is what I have as you can see there would be a lot of room with the speakers on the outside.

Here is the way it should have been.

Dooley,
Regrets that I don't have a Reckless Fairing to share info, but I did want to thank you for posting this thread because I've just started researching fairings for my '06 Nomad 1600. Prior to your post, I had only heard of "Quadzilla" fairings for our bikes. Think I'll go find "Reckless Fairings" on the internet and compare.

Good luck on your info search, and thanks again for posting...

Daryl

Daryl,

Alex at Reckless offers a discount to KawaNOW members. I believe you need to call him for the discount.

oldbikers,
thanks for the pictures. That is exactly what I was looking for.
I will go with the 4x 5" and really install 4 speakers, there's plenty of room above the radio for my switchboard (lightbar, garage door opener, strobe lights) and a few other things.

Thanks again!!!

dooley there is one here in Jacksonville on a 1500, Think his id is Nighthawk? I looked it over pretty good. they seem to be pretty nice fiberglass workmanship and if you are good painter and willing to do your own stereo you can get a pretty good setup for about 800 total if you can get the paint for match to your bike from other than maw kaw, If you are not inclined to do the work I think the Tsukayu and Hoppe were both at Bikeweek on sale for like $1200 installed except the power cord which you got but had to run yourself. They might be here in Oct? But there were all universal black.
