Never mixed whiskey in with the Guinness, might try that if I'm really daring. "Black & Tan" with Guinness and Harp or Bass is about as "mixed" a drink as I'll go.

Prefer to enjoy my whiskey alone, perhaps with water but no ice.

Again thanks for the reply, I hope to one day visit your beautiful country. Another "Irish" favorite of mine was a movie shot over your way, "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Perhaps my favorite John Wayne/John Ford collaboration.
