Morning forum I am replacing my rear tire on my 2000 Vulcan Classic 1500 is it posible to go with a bigger tire on this model. The current factory size is 150/80-16 bias ply. Next question is can I use a tubeless tire on a tube type rim. Thanks very much for your reply’s

the tubeless tire on the tube type rim is not an issue, just put a tube in it, as for the oversized tire, I'll let smarter folks than me answer that question

Caution when going oversize. You'll get into tire rubbing on the driveshaft tube if going too oversize. When you go darkside, you gotta be careful!
Read up about our members putting the Commander II's, or Metlzer's, all the times that we discussed the Darksiders....
Just curious, why oversize? Looks? More Carrying capacity? Better tire life? Usually its the latter 2....
As you go bigger, you often have to loosen your driveshaft tube to get it up in there. Sometimes its not really worth it, especially if you gotta fight it when 1000 miles from home, trying to change a tire on the roadside.

You should be able to fit a 195/60/16 in a CT.

I ran several 180/60/16s on he 1500.
