Mounting Trunk in Place of Passenger Seat

Outside of some kind of special fabrication, anyone have ideas on how a solo guy might mount a tour pack / "pizza box" in place of the passenger seat (using the trunk backrest as the driver backrest) on a 2008 Nomad?

I'm thinking the best option would be to modify a Wompus Rack ...? I've seen pictures of it being done, but either don't know how or the parts they used are no longer available. I would rather not drill any holes in the fender, prefer to use the sissy bar mount points like the Wompus.

Wompus makes quality products.
They are kinda of expensive but you get what you pay for.

Get some cardboard, cut you some templates, transfer to some 1/8 or 3/16 SS, fasten to your fender struts....
I mounted a chopped Razor truck, just as your gonna do.....everybody thinks its a old Harley Police bike with the old trunk on the bike....
I just roll my eyes....
I just step up on my left hand floorboard before I swing my leg over, since its chopped, I don't have to do a roundhouse kick to get my leg over it.....

**UPDATE-
I left 1/2 " between the bottom of the 5.5" Chopped Razer trunk. During my repaint, I'm going to radius the bottom of the trunk, drop it even further and where it touches my saddlebags, match the radius of the bags....wanna keep everything streamlined.....
