Power Commander

Does anyone know of a video on how to remove the power commander after getting the Ivans reflash?

I'll do my best at explaining this very simple procedure ... First I would completely disconnect the battery . Then , depending on how handy you are , remove the tank . you can however just lift the tank from the back and propping it up with a piece of wood but believe me removing the tank is a lot easier . Trust me I know !

Now on the power commander you'll see a black ground attached somewhere to the negative battery post ( remove )
Then , there will be another wire ( I think Grey ) that goes to the TPS sensor which is located aprox at the top of the throttle body ( remove )
The last thing is to remove the injector clips . Just do one at a time so you reconnect the proper injector clip to right injector . Once your in there you'll know what I'm talking about .

Last thing I would do is to make sure you cover up or seal any wiring that could be exposed with shrink tubing or silicone . The last thing you want is an electrical issue before you can enjoy Ivans magic .

Hope this helps . Others will chime in also with there expertise as well .

It's a fairly simple process. More getting to it than getting it out.

Every thing worked out great and I see what you meant about the clips but good pair of needle nose pliers did the trick. Thanks again for the help.

NO Blueraven it doesn't suck. Your bike does not need the extra expense that the 1700 requires just to run like a 1500. Your Blessed with a good Bike, I had a 1500 for 10 years and it ran better than the 1700 until I was Ivanized. Now it is just a normal running bike. Major improvements from stock but now it runs like a 1500 ( Less motor rattles though) All the testimonials that you read about are really saying how much it Wasn't like the 1500 & 1600s before and now it is normal now. This Is How I see it.

I was not aware that 1700 had some issues with the ECU and with Ivans fix that helps it better. I do like the 1500's......

The current Ecu's do not have issues, its the programming that stops the 1700 from reaching its potential. Ivans reflash fixes that.

As I understand it, there is not any issues with the ECU it is the programming to satisfy the EPA and emissions that make it run Hot, backfire and the Throttle is herky jerky in its delivery. Ivans smooths out the throttle control, Turns the fan on earlier (180f) and stops the decal popping. Will not meet emissions when installed but runs like a new bike should run. Also I understand the Harleys are also herky jerky with the throttle by wire ? or what ever you call it.
