Upcoming Changes

I wanted to let everyone know about some changes we have decided to make.

As you know the VBA celebrated it's 10th birthday last June.
What started as a small group grew quickly and as it grew the VBA made changes
to keep up and do more as a group. It took a number of people help things run smoothly.
People to work on the website, help with social media, have merchandise and be National and Regional leaders to plan rallies.
I apperciate everyone that has taken the time to work on behalf of the VBA.

Those of us in the positions now have discussed getting back to what KawaNOW and the VBA originally was.
In a way coming full circle. So we have decided to change the way our leadership is setup.
We will no longer have National or Regional Leaders. We will not have a President or VP.

Of course we will have moderators on the forum and the VBA still needs someone in a leadership position
to take care of the VBA webite and several other things that will need to be done.
That person will be our VBA Staff. I will have that job. At some point another member will take over.

This isn't a drastic change. The only real difference is the planning of rallies.
There will not be anyone tasked with organizing a rally. This certainly doesn't me you can't.
Hopefully some of you will plan an afternoon ride or pick a spot to meet for lunch.
Perhaps make some plans to get together somewhere and go riding for a few days.
I'm sure members in the SouthCentral will continue to get together.
Don't wait for someone else to do it. If you've got an idea post it.

Changes in titles on the forum will happen before long.

It's starting to warm up here in Arkansas. Great riding weather will be here soon.
I hope everyone has a great riding season. I look forward to seeing some of you in Custer this June.

Thank you BudMan for all the hard work you put in since you took over. You have done an awesome job cleaning and organizing a bunch of stuff on here and the VBA website. The VBA couldn't have picked a better person to have done this high paying job.

I would like to thank too all past and present Regional Leaders and Assistant Regional Leaders that have worked hard in the regions putting together rallies either regionally or nationally. Thanks so much. Not forgetting all the moderators that have kept an eye on what is happening in sections of the forum they moderate. Last but not least all the folks on here that make this such a fun and informative place to come and hung out.

I totally agree with Amin.
The job I appreciate the most is you shuttling us back and forth to the pavilion in your truck so we could all stay dry when I let my guard down and it rained the evening of the first day at the National in Lake George.

As a 'regular' user of the VBA site, want give a heartfelt, appreciative THANK YOU to all of you long time leaders, organizers and founding members. This forum is one of my favorite stomping grounds on the net. Pretty much to all of the post'ers above this entry!

I've been a member here for nearly 10 years and used to be a moderator and assistant region leader. That lofty position ended when I jumped ship and bought a Harley. I appreciate everyone's contribution over the years to keep this forum going. Even though I ride a different brand these days, I still log in here almost daily to see what's going on. I've made some good friends here over the years. I hope you will still plan get-togethers and rallies. I'm still #2 in the all time post count!
