Let's make the most of this ride. One place I would definitely like to stop at is the Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters on RT 2.

I agree, would love to ride the same rout we did through NY but that could be pushing it a bit. The earlier we meet the more daylight we have. We could also just do 91 home to. I'll come up with a few options.

Let me throw this out. Dot's is 11 miles north on 100 and you need to take the same road to get back to 9, 22 miles r/t. We could take those 22 miles and ride out 22 in NY over to bennington. Stop there for lunch and make out way back down 100 over to the 112 and coffee at shelburne coffee. Essentially doing the same ride we did a few weeks ago when Neil went to the cape. Neil you can head back rt 2 as you did that one ride. Martin and I go on the eastern side of the res. or we just do 91 depending on the time.

I would shoot down 91 to the Pike. A lot of deer crossings on Rt. 2.

Not interested in NY. I think we should keep the ride in the Vermont area. There is plenty to see up there.

Going up to Hogback Mountain we'll be taking 112 to 100 to 9 east. Why don't we continue on 9 east to 5 and take 5 back down to the Greenfield area.

This portion of the ride would be 3 hours and 23 minutes and 151 miles.

We could also take 100 north after leaving Dot's up to Rt. 30 and then take Rt. 30 down to Brattleboro. From there we could pick up Rt. 5 and take it back in to Greenfield.

If you want to go further we can go as far north as Rutland. We could head out to Rt. 7 and take it north to Rutland and come back down 103 to 5 just outside of Rockingham and 5 down to Greenfield.

Total for this would be 4.5 hours and 200 miles.

My total miles for the day would be 464 if we did this route.

With no breaks my total time riding would be close to 9 hours. Stop for lunch, coffee, gas, and taking pics 11.5 to 12 hours. Probably more like 13 to 14 if I take breaks on the way out.

I don't see a need to go all the way up to Rutland. Staying in VT works fine for me.

Here are a few options. Starting and end point is the coffee house in Shelbourn Falls because google maps just would not do what I wanted it to do from greenfield. I'm thinking for me/Laura if she goes we would meet you 2 in deerfield at yankee candle or at the coffee house in greenfield. The ride would be anywhere between 7-9 hrs. with stops for lunch, fuel, pics and adding traffic. Meet at 10am at the coffee house or yankee candle in deerfield. Let me know your feelings?

On a time basis trying not to ride much in the dark the last 2 options might be the best.

If we take the 6th one why not continue down 5 from Brattleboro to Greenfield instead of going back across 9 to pick up 100/112?
