Nov 3rd Joff's Backyard Grill

Just throwing this out to see if there is any interest in a final lunch meet up for the season.

The place would be Joff's Backyard Grill, Route 140 - 61A Mechanic Street - Bellingham, MA 02019

It will probably be a little to chilly for any kind of ride before or after but you would get a ride in getting there.

This would also be contingent on the weather.

I just google mapped it. 68-75 miles 1 1/2 -2 1/4 hrs. from me depending how I go. Yesterday I did 60 roundtrip. I was fine except my fingers. Even with glove liners and the wind deflectors I made by the end my fingers were really cold. If we stay in the upper 50's to low 60's better chance I'll go. If it's in the lower 50's upper 40's I doubt it. I keep those temps to 1 1/2 hrs. round trip. Looks like a good place though. Remember it for the spring.

That's my thoughts too. It may be to cold but I'll play it by ear. If not on the 3rd then the first spring ride.

About an hour and a half for me too. But I've got heated gloves. I'll think about this, not if it isn't at least somewhere near 40 though. If it'll reach 45 and not be wet, I'd be in. See what the weather looks like as the 3rd approaches.

It's about an hour and ten minutes for me. I have yet to really test my unheated gloves so cold weather riding is still a bit of an unknown. Maybe tomorrow morning I will take them out for a test run. If they prove to be adequate, then I would be in, pending weather of course.

If the weather is good we can do a 1:30 PM meet. That will give the temps a chance to warm up.

As of right now Accuweather is saying it will be clouds giving way to sun and 54 degrees. Hopefully that forecast holds.

With unheated gloves you will feel the cold if the temps are below 50 degrees.

Dennis (DCinCT) organizes lunch runs and meet ups throughout the riding season. He usually gets between 3 and 6 people to join. I have met all of the riders that are attending except pbryon and all of them are nice guys.

I'm not a member of the Suzuki forum and don't read or post to the forums.

Did a glove trial run this morning. Left he house around 9 and temp was 34F. Drove almost 50 miles and tested two pairs of gloves. Both sets of gloves worked OK but eventually my fingertips got really cold. In these temps I am probably good up to 50 miles each way before my fingers seize up.

just got home from North Hampton,MA. I wish they had broasted chicken closer but hey gave me some bike time. The wife even came, shows you how much she likes that dinner up there. It was 53 when we left riding along 91 very windy, we both were warm. My fingers did well with the wind deflectors my glove liners and gloves. 50 miles each way. I figured with the wind it was in the high 40's. If it stays in the 50's I'll probably go. If the weather holds and Martin goes we could meet in Sturbridge and head out together. Do you have to pay the toll on the pike on a motorcycle?

Regular car toll on the pike. It's always fun taking the gloves off and digging for the cash while traffic is backing up behind you.
