want to smoke harleys

what would be the hp upgrades if i do power commander ,hypercharger ,k&n already hav v&h pipes im tired of the damm harleys at bike nite with their mutiple upgrades is thier anything else to do to the nomad1500 fi help!!!!BIG MIKEps. our hp seems low at 60 plus i know torque is up like 80 sum thing but u got vtx'shondas with 106 hp!!!!!

Heading toward South Dakota I found that I could keep up with or beat most of them out on long stretches of interstate, although it is true that some of those Harley riders in Dodge Ram trucks can hustle their bike trailer along at a good clip.

bignomadmike, Just incase you don't know a hyper charger is no more than anyother better looking intake. The name is all hyper too. This doesn't do one blooming thing to make more power, than no air filter at all, or a K&N in any other chromed casing..

it is a look and only a look, and for that it is cool, but other wise those flappers don't do a thing.

I would hate for some saleman to make claims , take your money and you end up wishing you had invested in other things.

A fuel chip, a better intake and V%H baggers will beef you up some.

Not for what you want though. The next best way is buy a meanie, they have a different cam set up and a bigger throttle body.

Anybody ever hear of adding Nitrous to a Nomad? Would be alot cheaper than a turbo and very effective for short runs blowing off harleys like Mike wanted to do???

I have a stock 03 Meanstreak,it runs decent. My youngest son on the other hand is in the process of upgrading from a ZX-6R to a Zx-10R. Now, either one of those are smokin fast.LOL,and the ZX-10R is an 04, can probably be had for less than 5K.

Like BD said, Nomads aren't made to drag race Harley's. For that matter, comparabe Harley's aren't made to drag race either.So I cruise on down the road on the Nomad. I wanna go a little faster, I go get the Meanstreak. I want to go fast, I make a deal with my son to take his bike to the car wash and gas station. Before I get to either I have scared myself beyond imagination.LOL. Course I still have to gas it and wash it.

I had to butt in on this one. As for the hyper charger not making a diffence, how is more air and fresher air with more fuel not going to make more horsepower? Your right on the flappers not doing anything but looking cool. But the design of this is to get a more open style air cleaner. i does and will make a big diffence. Air kit,PCIII,and V&H BAGGERS.

I think what Mac was trying to say in his version of English is that the Hypercharger does nothing more than any other low restriction filter of the same dimensions will. The "charger" part is all hype, in other words. It's a glorified air filter, and if anything more, just an attractive trinket to glitz up the bike.

I know what you mean. I've had over 50 cars and miss a bunch of them from my early years.
