HaHa, I have a "cheep a$$" 4 year old TomTom that spent 3 of those years bouncing around in a plumbing truck. Screen works pretty good in full Phoenix sun. Also has a loud enough "voice" to listen to over the exhaust note on the freeway.

As Rick said, I made mine from a recipe or contact card box I got from Staples.

Quite a few others have used it and it is cheap and easy to do.
