2001 Nomad 1500 for sale

I'm 68 years old, and it's time to stop riding. This 2001 have any add on you can think off including Stereo Speakers with amp for MP3.Cobra dual.and no rustThis bike with only 11.200 miles needs to be on the road and not in the garage.Will let go for $5100.

68? Time to quit riding? I have a friend that just bought a Nomad at 68 after riding for only 3 years.

There is a guy I see on a ride every year who is 85, last year he switched to a smaller bike but he's still going strong.

I'm sorry, the bike is located in Jacksonville Fl, and I sell because in 1960 I lost the vision from my right eye, and after 50 years the old eye is not what used to be. After looking at all angles, is better for me to quit before I can create a bad situation for me or others. Great memories of almost 42 years in the wind will stay with me

Ahhhh. I knew there was more to the story than just age. Sorry about the accident and it's a crappy deal that it has to end your riding days but your right to quit riding if you think it's getting unsafe. At least you've got years of experiences to remember.

Good luck selling the Nomad. It looks to be in fantastic shape for the year and considering that my husband has over 60,000 on his '01 and it runs perfect, someone will get many more years of enjoyment out of your Nomad.

Best wishes....I am sorry about your vision and happy about your memories of years of riding.
I am 74, have good vision, but am thinking I will need to think "trike" or smaller bike some of these times soon..when I occasionally allow my bike to lean too far when at a standstill and it ends up at a steep angle, resting on the crash bars, I can't begin to pick it up.....If no youngun' is around to help, I just have to wait..Happened again yesterday..

Hey Bob, age has nothing to do with picking up a Nomad. I have dropped my Ruby 3 times and laid her down once on purpose in a parking lot and I could not even begin to pick her up. With all of the add-ons, Ruby weighs 901 pounds (we've weighed our Nomads a few times to check, and, yes, 901 pounds is right) and I couldn't possible pick her up. The first time she started to go over on me, I held her from dropping onto the engine guard and pulled every groin and back muscle and could hardly move for a week I was so sore. Since then, if she's going over, I let her go, just get my leg out of the way, and step off when she's down. Luckily, Brian and I always ride together so I always have help to pick her up. Anybody wants to say anything about the woman riding the bike and not being able to hold it up, is welcome to try and pick her up by themselves. I got over being embarrassed a long time ago. Bag guards and engine guards to their job well and Ruby has never sustained any damage.
