July 26th Gathering and Ride to Mount Mitchell

Figured I would straighten this out over the Blowing Rock thread.

This Saturday, we would meet at around 11:00 at Woodlands Barbecue in Blowing Rock for pig on me. Anyone needing directions just PM me. I set this time up to give people a honest chance to come, that might live a little further out. After lunch it would be down 221 west on some nice twisties to 80 west to Burnsville and from there to Mount Mitchell. If you have never been I will include a link. TOA around 1-1:30. From there depending on where others may wish to ride, it will remain open. This ride is different then others I have planned where you leave and meet early in the morning and ride home in the heat of the day.

I myself may ride up there to late afternoon or even early evening so that the ride home may be a tad cooler. Weather right now is about a 30 percent of rain and that willl change second to second between now and then. lol. Mount Mitchell is pretty cool and I would be willing to flip this ride so we meet closer up 40 to Marion and go to Mount Mitchell, then ride some cool roads in the afternoon for a late afternoon or early evening dinner at Woodlands Barbecue. So make it lunch, "yawn" or dinner, it is covered.

To finalize this tell me if you can make it, where you are coming from, and if you prefer the lunch scenario or the evening dinner scenario so I can finalize all of this with meet points for different folks and times by Friday. Just come, eat and ride, and I will schedule for ya.
