Dont blink, but seems that American Politics seems to be affecting more than just the USA.

I cant appologize for others but if I somehow made anything seem as to only USA related it was not intended that way.

While I certainly want everyone to have the opportunity to speak their mind, and as time passes, we'll take a fresh look at whether KawaNOW needs an NMR area.......but, I still feel that Religion, Politics and NMR discussion really have no place right now on the KawaNOW forum.

And now that the election is over, the issue of politics will probably go to the wayside.

I created the Off-Nomad/General area to allow a light smattering of NMR posts, but not to get hot and heavy into politics or any other NMR subject. In my mind, I always go back to what the mission of KawaNOW is when I'm faced with making decisions for group. I feel, after considering our mission, any debate about anything other than Nomad stuff should be done on other boards that are specifically designed for this type of traffic.

Another reason why I'm against an NMR board on KawaNOW is the "carryover" factor. Someone will eventually get their feelings hurt in the NMR section and carry that feeling over into other areas. I see it happen on other boards. So, in short, I feel having an NMR section is inviting too much risk at the moment.
