Oh no....

2007 1600 nomad. When I tried to remove the right side rear spark plug it just spun. And spun. And spun. I never got it out. I tried to tighten it to see what would happen and it tightened right back like it should, but I don't know why it wouldn't come out.
Has anyone else had this happen? And how do I deal with it?

Theres not a whole lotta room between the spark plug tube and the plug....chances are, theres some crap in there keeping it from coming out, or you unscrewed a Helicoil'ed spark plug hole, or.....you my just need to latch onto the top of plug with a pr. of needle nose pliers and pull it out....
If you gotta change it, you gotta change it....
You can just screw the HeliCoil onto the new plug and screw it back in, if thats the case....Someone probably didn't 'set' it into the threaded hole, if thats what it is....
Do yourself a favor, blow out the hole around the plug first, before unscrewing your plugs....
I've seen people drop pea gravel into their cylinders changing plugs

More than likely, theres some carbon or crap on end of plug keeping it in or some crap inside spark plug tube...

If you unscrew a spark plug, theres nothing to keep it in there....you gotta pull it out. it will not levitate outta the hole under its own power. Grab that SOB and pull it out....nothings gonna bite you.

Put it like this, if you break your bike just pulling the spark plug out, you got alot more to worry about than a single little spark plug.....

I tried grabbing the plug with some pliers, but I didn't put much pressure on it, mainly because I wasn't sure why it was happening.
I'll blow out the holes and give it another shot.
Thanks DL
