HELP needs pictures

I am starting to work on mounting my Nomad bags onto my Mean Streak and would like to see some pictures of your Nomads with the bags taken off, so I can see the brackets mounted. Thank you in advance.

HELP needs pictures

Pete, thank you for the pictures. The one thing I notice is that the brackets that mount to the frame/fender strut location are different than mine. I bought mine for a 1500 Nomad and they appear alot different. I am going to mount everything else up to the bike and then try and figure out what needs modified. I just wish I would have waited and bought a set of brackets from Lee Sido. I spoke with him on the phone around Thanksgiving and he would not be able to do a set until after the new year. I guess I just couldn't wait. I will see what all it takes to modifiy the brackets and go from there.

If you go to this page and look for the OEM part that you need, it ought to show you a very easy to see picture of how it attaches to the bike.

My buddy Rick is doing the same mod on his wife's 900 Classic. I am calling it a mini-nomad. But with the 900 having a monoshock he is having to build brackets.

This was my 1500. The cross bar brace has been replaced with a trailer hitch, and the lower bag rails were modified to fit the hitch draw bar.

There is still a chrome cover over the saddlebag frame.

I had the bike 361 days, so I didn't get a lot of how to pics on that bike. I hate theives.

The cross bar should be around somewhere. it has been a few years now, so I have no idea where I put that bar.

i am not the type to throw it out, and it is likely the only part of that bike I have. But if I find it, it's yours for free, if you want it.

I will have to do some thinkin on where it might be.
