With all of the special purpose tools available for specific jobs I would need a bigger truck to haul them with if we were allowed to have all the neat stuff available . Actually we can have it, we just can't carry them around. Give this clip a look.

Hmmm. Make a person think.
Our family was just threatened by a group of 15 - 24 year olds walking down our street. The blocked the road. Upon approaching them in the car I beeped the horn. They slowly moved, but that wasn't all. After following me to the house, we were 'told' by them they were going to get their guns and shoot us and 'have their way' with my wife.
I got on 911 right then and so did my neighbor. They started to move along slowly but it makes me nervous for my family.
Monday, I am putting the for sale sign in the yard. We are looking to rent until it sells. It may be a blessing. We need to be closer to our work and in a better area. This area is changing too fast! And not for the better.
I have 1 gun; Grandfathers shotgun. He told me how to use it for target and hunting. But he also told me how to defend. He always said, "Boy, aim for the throat. If it's between you and them, make sure they go down."

First thing I thought of was 410 slugs or buck shot in that thing. It would be very effective at close range for sure.

MSRP is $569. Seriously considering selling my S&W 10mm Auto and getting a Judge.

With the 2 1/2 inch barrel it is 7 1/2 inches long and almost 2 pounds I doubt it would make a good belly gun. Great snake charmer on fishing trips.

A shot in the belly with a 410 shotshell would make the guy look like meatsauce at close range , It would sure make the second fellow think twice.

Where ya gonna move to get away . Two years ago we had a gunbattle in the street in front of the house. Two kids in the neighbors driveway, and two more 50 yards up the street in a car.None of them were from our neighborhood.Just happened to be where they ended up and started shooting. All I can say is be aware, and be prepared.

I know Meanstreak, I know. We are looking to move but maybe in a few months. Its just hard when you work so hard for everything you have and a bunch of f**kups try to take your peace from you and your family.
We have been in contact with the Police dept and they promised to step up patrols and be very aware of this problem.
I listen to the 'belly' comments, but I remember that "Shoot em in the throat."
We will see what transpires.

I have a shotgun and nothing strikes fear in the heart like the sound of a shotgun being Chambered. I have thought long and hard about it and if (God forbid) someone breaks in the house and actually gets around the 185lb bull Mastiff - I would not hesitate to cut em in 2. I live 1 mile from the Rio Grande and there is all sorts of meaness, illegals, drug runners etc around here. The dog is the best defense - they will avoid it and hit somewhere easier. Our law enforcement has a thankless and difficult job. The bad guys come in my house they will wish they hadn't. I wish I had the money to spend on that gun. Much easier to handle than a long 20 guage.

rflnomad....not trying to start a big discussion on shooting somebody... but I will say one thing... I've been around guns my whole life... when it comes to a shot gun, the best place to aim is center mass. Reason being is the shot shell will explode outward like a reversed cone. You're better off (not to mention easier) to just aim for the chest and let the gun/bullets work as they were designed to do. Hopefully you'll NEVER have to find out, but like hollywood said... there is nothing that can be misten about the sound of a shotgun being chambered!!!

Oh yeah, you have a point on both of those. Ok, no shooting here. But I do need more of that whiskey.
