Nice, I aways liked the Commando, especially in black with the gold writing.
If this one was mine, I would get rid of the Sissy bar and ape hangers, they don't belong and spoil the look IMO.

The apes and sissy bar were part of the Hi Rider package. They're ugly but correct.

I had a 71 Commando. Bought it in 73 in the U.K. No desire to own another one.

The key to owning a Triumph or Norton back then was to remove everything made by Lucas Electric and replace it with aftermarket for 100% trouble free motoring. Oh, and don't forget it had a real cool name.

Never had any electrical problems with the Brit bikes. They were all mechanical problems, swing arm bushings, crankshaft bearings, valve guides, transmission failures, melted pistons and on and on.
