I must be an idiot as I've tried the Nolan and the Scala systems and both just didn't work as promised...I admit that perhaps I just didn't set it up right but even the dealer couldn't get the Nolan system to work right. I just recently purchased a hardwire system (basic with no bluetooth involved) and also allows direct commo between me and the wife plus music if I so choose. I like it the best...Also uses AAA battries which can be swapped out quickly and no charging required (of course I can buy rechargeable AAAs but why?). Ken

The sound quality is fine....and I think that price can still be had on ebay, or very close to it. That was for a brand new in the box set! You do get some wind noise that comes through the mic at higher speeds, but that is greatly reduced when you are wearing earplugs.

We wear earplugs on long hauls or when riding the superslab and we can still talk to each other no problem. If you go 25 seconds without talking, you will hear two quick beeps and it goes into standby mode...all quiet. You just talk loudly (or blow) into the mic when you want to talk and it kicks back on (voice activated). We like ours a bunch for the overall cheap price of the thing. All we wanted to do was be able to talk to each other and it works great for that!

I just bought the Teamset. I found it for $100+$10 for shipping! For that price I figured I couldn't lose.

I just got the scala intercom all set up. It's raining so I can't really test it out yet, but from testing it in the house, it seem like it will be a great system and just what I was needing.

What helmet did you put it on? Did you make it work on a half-helmet, or go with a 3/4 or full...?? I put ours on our 3/4 helmets.

My wife uses a HJC SY-MAX modular helmet and I use a HJC AC-3 3/4 helmet.

We haven't had a change to take it out much, but just messing with it in the house, the Blue tooth function seems to well.

We'll take it out and use it this afternoon and write a better review.
