Essentials

While everyone is posting surveys, I am curious..
What essential items does everyone carry on their bike at all times? I know we all have the stock tool bag but I just updated mine with a few more things like allen wrenches, small flashlight, fuses, nut drivers, electrical tape, duct tape and a few other things. I always keep a phone charger on me also.
I keep my pistol on the bike all the time too and its legal. In my windsheild bag I keep a pack of loose marbles. They are handy for eliminating tailgaters. What else does everyone take with them every single time you leave the house?

I do hope you are kidding about the marbles and tailgaters, just letting them pass is much better than cracking a windshield and getting into an altercation where you might try to use your manly pistol.

I try to take common sense and the fear of cars turning in front of me, on my mind. Stay safe, ride longer.

No, I dont worry about the confrontation near as much as I worry about some idiot behind me clipping me and taking me out or not being able to stop behind me. Those are not for everyday use but something that can maybe get someone's attention.

Things I always carry on me: AMA & HOG membership cards (roadside assistance), cell phone, credit cards and folding knife w/locking blade.

Things I always carry on the bike: Clear glasses for night riding, tire pressure gauge, small tire inflator, tire repair kit, shock pump, extra gloves. Sometimes rain gear, but not a big threat around here.

I also usually have a pistol tucked away, too.

Yeah, I forgot rain gear, my cell and extra gloves. Tells how infrequently I use them. I always have a cell phone too. Oh yeah, windex and a micro fiber cloth and the Anonymous book

I carry rain gear and the basic tool kit that came with the bike, plus a small multimeter.
I always go over the bike well before a long trip and so far have never needed to fix anything on the road.

Rainsuit, small compressor, tire plug kit, shock pump, LED flashlight, Leatherman tool, clear glasses, stock tool kit with a few extras, Sweatshirt, neck gaiter, different weight gloves, rolled up towel, and Ipod connected to stereo generally never leave the bike.

On me I always have my cell phone, wallet and CAA card.

I forgot to include a small LED flashlight and a bandanna, which has many uses, including a face covering while riding through a dust storm. The dust here can kill you. (google "valley fever")

I don't carry anything.
I take the saddlebags off to save weight and get better gas mileage.
