Removal of the 02 Sensor - '16 Vaquero

Just got back my ECU from Ivan. Instructions say to remove/disconnect the o2 sensor from my Freedom Eagle slip-ons. If I unscrew it from the pipes and unplug the wire from the other end, what do you guys suggest I due with the open plug coming from the wire harness that stays there behind the side cover. Just cover it with electrical tape?

Also, I did not receive anything to plug up the hole in the slip-ons after removing the sensor. Should I just buy a bolt and lock washer in the same threading as the o2 sensor and screw it into the hole in the pipe?

Maybe I should just leave the sensor screwed into the pipe and just disconnect the plug at the wire harness, tie it up with a wire tire and tape the ends to prevent damage.

What do you guys think?
