Lost my Brother In Law

Jan. 24th, my brother in law John died at the age of 66.. My sister and him were married over 35 years... They live in Pa.. and John was in Philly 6 /7 months ago, a group of kids beat the day light out of him,, hes been fighting brain clots and in and out of a coma since then,, He was on Life support and they pulled the plug after Thanksgiving so they could have 1 last holiday together... John bounced back alittle and survived till Sat.
We assume the same group of punks that beat John up for fun also beat a 24 y/o girl to death a week of so before...
City of Brotherly Love... My BUTT!! Guess we must follow the rule like we did in the service,, Never walk around alone in a ciity!!
Rich

Lost my Brother In Law

Oh man, that's bad news, my sympathies here.

Nature of my work has led to me wandering and exploring alone, briefly, a lot of cities around the US and the world. As I've grayed and slowed some have been thinking about becoming more of a target, will weigh your Bro-in-law's experience and could well benefit from it. In that strange way, thanks for posting.

Lost my Brother In Law

Radco,

So sorry to hear about that. It is truely senseless to lose someone that way. I hope that the scum who did this will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest. If they aren't, they will get their just reward someday.

Prayers and thought to you and your family.

Sorry to hear this about your brother-in-law. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. You never know, the scum that did this just might get their just reward sooner than they think. The lifestyle of those type people usually have a short lifespan.

Lost my Brother In Law

Rich,

I'm very sorry about the loss of your brother in law. Things like this happen everwhere but we don't pay a whole lot of attention to it until it hits home. It's a shame that we are so desensitized to the violence around us. Everytime this happens a void opens up that will never be filled. All we can do is pray for strength and comfort for the family and friends. Our prayers go out to you and all of those affected by this tragedy. Hopefully the slimeballs can be caught soon and brought to justice before they kill someone else. God bless.

Mitch

I'm not so sure it is always that we are desensitized, so much as the fact that we are unable to process the amount of grief and anger we would feel if we we were able to take to heart every account of such senseless evil occurring. We would become overwhelmed. So, we DO take to heart the situations we ARE aware of personally, like Rich's.

To my knowledge, there is only One who was and is able to take on ALL that grief, and do something about it. He is also, by the way, the One who will judge such people!

Rich, I am praying for you and your family.

Doug

Doug Very well said,, Like you said on Judgment day they wont be able to hide... and when they meet their maker they will see the Pearly Gates,
then they will be lead to the gate
The one that leads to down Stairs ... They will get theirs in the end!
