waiting out the weather in Minnesota

Hello from Waconia, west of the Twin Cities. Patiently waiting until the end of March to get the bike out of warm storage. Hoping to take a ride out to Colorado this year. First, a nice ride up past Duluth (see photo) to the North Shore should be a good warm-up.

Hi Cal. Welcome from your neighbor to the west. I'm in the same boat as you: waiting out old man winter. We've had some nice melting this week, and I think without any more snowfall we should be able to get out and ride in about two weeks or so. The streets melt off pretty quickly, but then there is all the sand and dirt to contend with until they're cleaned.

Oh, forgot to mention that we hope to make the rally in Prairie du Chien too. The ride down along the river is nice. I prefer the Wisconsin side from Prescott.
