The Ultimate countersteer?

I thought this was very interesting, and wanted to share it.

When I got my first boat someone had hooked the cables up wrong for the outboard. To go right I had to turn left and to go left I had to turn right. I was young and dumb and thought it was the way it was suppose to be until someone pointed out that my cables were backwards. It was a nightmare out in the harbor with other boats coming at you and your normal reaction is to go in one direction and you have to go in the opposite. I did it for a couple of weeks. It's something you can get used to but it does take time.

Same principal works with that bike.

That was interesting such a simple thing yet the brain has a hard time with it.

I am a ham operator and one of the most amazing things I ever experienced was hearing my own voice with a millisecond delay over my own headphones. You forget how to speak. If you record yourself, you will think you are speaking fine but what is recorded is total gibberish.

I didn't need a freaky bike, to make learning to ride one hard. Sad, but true.

I can relate as when I was just home from college I took a job in a lumber yard and had to drive the fork truck to load and unload trucks. I never knew any better as I learned to drive one on that old clark truck. Had to turn the wheel left to go right and vice versa. Always thought it was just the way they worked until I took a job in a shop and someone asked if I knew how to drive a fork truck. Sure thing I said and proceeded to run into every thing in the shop. Finally got the hang of doing it the right way before I damaged anything or anyone. Called up my old boss and asked him about the old clark and he told me someone put the steering box in upside down when they were working on it and the engine and half the back end of the machine would have to be torn apart to fix it so they decided to just leave it alone. Not many people attempted to drive that old machine.
