Vaquero Windshield Trim

I've searched and all I have found is OE or Cee Baily's windshield trim and those are chrome...I'm looking for a black or black/machined trim and remembered reading some guys had used Harley shields on the Vaq/Voyagers early on. Is there a similar bolt patterns on these? Does anyone know if anything aftermarket would bolt up?

I purchased an OEM chrome trim and painted it with black Plasti Dip rubber spray paint. If I screwed it up, it is easy to remove. No problems however, and I put on two coats. I've had it for over a year, well over 20k in miles, still looks good. It now has one little spot where the chrome is showing (rock? monster bug?), but not bad enough where I want to repaint. Something to consider!

Thanks for the reply, that's a good thought; I have plasti-dip on my car in several places and it holds up great. I was hoping to go custom with the price of the OEM pieces being so high but I may just end up going this route.

I had mine blasted and powder coated black. Came out great. A little more permanent than plasti-dip.

Thanks for the feedback; I'm going to go ahead and order the factory piece when I go in for my 600 mile service Saturday.

Hold on to your wallet when you order that trim, they are proud of it!

No doubt! That's why I wanted to go custom because for that money I could have gotten a trick Milled piece...I wound up paying $75 for trim, gasket and bolts.
The Clearview uses vinyl rather than paint on the lower half and movement has caused a couple wrinkles/air bubbles/ugly spots to appear so it'll be worth it to keep everything tight and looking good.

They are; if I knew the 3 would line up I'd countersink the back of the Harley piece to accommodate the remaining 2 "middle" Kawi bolts and bolt on the trim with the three...

It might be worth it to buy an aftermarket Harley trim "3 hole" and see if it would line up. I think Matazu on ebay has that trim? (but they are thin) I got another Kawi trim piece and painted it semi-gloss black and I really like that look so I know exactly what your going after!
