Non-Stop Ride on the Dragon

I filmed this on May 2, 2015 - Took the long (1035 miles) way home from a work trip - direct route would have been 627 miles up I-95 with no Dragon . . . I met up with a friend along the way to ride it with me. I had planned on making one north bound run on the Dragon and heading home, but when I got to the top and waited for him . . . and waited for him . . . and waited for him . . . I made a south bound run to find him. I found his bike about a mile before the North Carolina line on the side of the road in a pull off with mud caked on and some bent/broken parts. . . he was no where to be found so I continued down to the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort and found him walking across the parking lot going to meet the tow truck. Fortunately he was OK . . . The silver lining in his cloud is he is now the owner of a 2010 Voyager!

Anyways . . . Here is the video from my first uninterrupted run. I passed a Black Vaquero coming south at the 11:50 mark in the video . . .if it was any of you guys, let me know!

Looks like a good ride. Did you have the Iron Butt paperwork with you for the Saddlesore 1000?

Negative on the Iron Butt - I split it up over two days 400 on one 600 and change on the other . . .

Jared - my last time on it was in 2009 . . . It had rained all day and only stopped about an hour before we got there . . . not nearly as fun and none of the Dragon Photogs were out there to capture the moments . . .
