2005 and later LT's have about 15 more HP. They also have a better record with the final drives. If this bike has enough miles on it without issue, it's probably ok, but there is a guy in Vermont that rebuilds them for a reasonable price.

I've only ridden my RT. I looked at a GSA and I was interested in the LT, but no one had one when I went shopping as they were discontinued.

The final drive has been replaced on this one. Jim and I rode together quite frequently so I know a lot about the mechanical issues it has had and what was done. I've gotten lucky in that the GS/GT/RT all belonged to another friend at one time or another and he let me ride them.

Tom, still waiting on the fairing and lower for paint. Haven't decided on whether to repaint the entire bike (my brother wants to do it) or just paint the fairing and lowers.

And to stay on topic of the thread, we got about 2 miles down the road and Tammy said she wasn't feeling well so we had to turn around and come home.

Yep, rode in to work. A whopping 12 miles, one way. :) 30°F when I left the house this morning at 7:15. Supposed to be 63°F this afternoon.

Rode my bike to Chandler HD to get the rear brake switch recall taken care of. Sitting in the customer lounge on a big black leather couch with the bar & shield logo on it, watching Sportscenter on the big screen. This is livin' large!

They have a gorgeous orange/black CVO Ultra sitting right over there. $37k.

I hadn't ridden in three or four days because of rain and cooler temps. Took a short ride today to relax for a bit, it was only a five mile ride. It was still nice to be riding on December 29.

Just returned from a nice 27 mile ride. Really felt good being in the wind.

I had yesterday and today off, so I rode over to Bass Pro Shops to poke around a little bit. Gorgeous weather, 73° right now. I wore my leather jacket, and I was wishing I hadn't because it was getting too warm. I took the scenic route back home, about 70 miles round trip.

Be sure to watch the Fiesta Bowl on January 2 (Stanford vs OK State) to see why we endure the miserable summers - the other 7-8 months more than make up for it.

We got back about 8:45PM tonight. We rode up to LaGrange, GA to see our son on Wednesday, then down to Bay Minette, AL on Thursday to stay. Went to Stockton, AL and Stagecoach for breakfast this morning. We left around 11:15AM to head back and missed Derry and his crew. There were a ton of bikes there today, many more than in years past. Total trip was around 1070 miles for the 3 days of riding. Not too bad.

Got out for a 60 mile local ride yesterday and it was great. Weather was perfect for vest and short sleeves.
