Chuck did not make it home from Coos Bay. He was involved in a fatal accident and we have lost him. Chuck was our Travel Consultant here on KawaNOW.

My heart is saddened. I have lost a riding buddy, staff member and a great friend.

I will miss Chuck immensely. RIP Chuck.

I just received an email from NCVulcan regarding this and couldn't believe what I was reading! I immediately came here and found it was true. I got the chance to meet him at the Eastern Rally. What a wonderful person Chuck was!!! May he rest in peace. My heart is so saddened by this news.

Oh my god... I'm feeling sick to my stomach right now. I can't believe that. I haven't personally met any member on this board, but I feel like I just lost a close friend. I loved reading his blog about his travels.
If there are bikes in heaven, I know he and the big guy are riding into the sunset...

When any rider is taken from us, it hurts. I never met Chuck, but I feel like I knew him, at least a little. This really hurts. My sympathies to the Burt family and to my "other" family here at KawaNOW.

Chuck was a great guy. I never met him in person, but he always seemed easy and personable on the forum and quick to send a helpful response when I emailed him. RIP chuck.

I just found out about this in the VN 1600 site.Chucks nephew posted a message. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. To the rest of us here at the KawaNOW family, remember, no matter how long you have been riding, or how much experience you have, we are very vulnerable on the road. Please be careful and ride safe.
