Just got an offer from Ma Kaw to buy the ext warranty. No major problems with the bike so far, was thinking of going with the two year plan. Any thoughts? Dealers selling plans cheaper than Kaw?

You will be buying an insurance policy that is actuarily weighted to the insurance company, in this case Kawasaki. It is sort of like going to Vegas and betting against the house. Most lose, a few win. General feelings here have been that as long as you take care of the Nomad with maintenance and riding techniques that you should not need it. That said, it amounts to whatever your personal comfort level is and where you want your risk. Put the $ that you would spend on insurance in a maintenance fund is one idea. If you need a repair you have the money, if you don't need a repair then you can have a party and invite all of us.

I agree. I hate buying extended warranties for anything. But I was thinking of just one extension of the bike warranty and that would be it after that expired.

I did the same thing Doc and I'm glad I did. You never know when something is going to go wrong.

I had extra warranty on mine until last Oct. I never used it. I think next bike I will just take the factory warranty.
