Just introducing myself - just picked up an 02 Nomad with 9200 miles and haven't ridden it too much yet, but I love it! It's the gold/champagne/beige/whatever color that I've always liked and has only backrests and a lightbar added. Just had some needed maintenance done and put on a new Metzeler rear tire. Saw something about a Western states rally for next year and I'm very interested, so I look forward to more info on it. Also still trying to sell the 01 Shadow ACE 750 I've had for 4 years (first bike).
By the way, I'm in Ventura if anyone's local. Thanks for the great site!

Shnyroq,

I'm a new member too. I'm in Ventura County (Camarillo). Seems like a good bunch here and am hoping to get in on some get togethers and rides ASAP. I pick up my bike from Santa Barbara Kawasaki this Tuesday... Whoo-hew!!!

Glad I'm not the last "newbie" and glad we have another member from SoCal!!!

Cheers,
Daryl

Welcome shnyroq, I too am fairly new to the forum and have a recently acquired 2005 Nomad 1600 (Blue and Silver). I have put about 1700 miles on mine since starting to ride in early August. I have truly enjoyed my Nomad since buying it. Hope you enjoy this board and all the great people who hang out here. Doug from Orego

You're on! I pick up my bike Tuesday from Kawi in SB. What's your schedule like? When and what days are best to ride for you?

My wife and I split time on the weekends with our new baby girl so that we can both do some things that we each want to do. I usually have at least half a day on Sat. and/or Sun. Get your bike home and send me an email sometime through my profile here. There's a charity ride starting at V-Twins 101 next Saturday that I'm going to try to ride in. Stop by there and pick up a flier - it's being put on by the Blue Knights for Alzheimers research.
