THE GHOST OF DAN LUND..........

As some of you know, we up here in the North East got hit with a huge ice storm on Friday morning last.
400,000 folks in New Hampshire alone were without power Friday and Saturday, then some started getting it back. This morning on the way to work there were still 150,000+ still without and like I said that's only New Hampshire. Maine and Mass were hit hard too. anyways......
Denise ( my wife ) and I went to stay with a relative that has a wood burning stove. No TV, INTERNET or phones available/working. So we sat around playing cards and fixing the worlds problems. On Saturday I look out the window and what do I see to my astonishment ( mind you to roads have major ice in places and broken tree's everywhere. Many of the tree's were lying against power lines) is a guy on an brand new Ultra riding up the street!!!! I had to run outside to be sure it wasn't Dan Lund getting ready to do one of his stunts. Right when you've think you've heard/seen it all along comes Dan's twin brother!!

Vin

It must have been Dans twin 'cause I know Dan has more sense than to ride on icy roads.
Gravel, wet leaves, cliffs, cross country, skate parks etc. thats a different story

EXACTLY!!!!!!! he would never do that and I know if he did he'd tell the rest of us not to. So this guy I saw couldn't have been him....maybe the evil twin??

Maybe he had the optional studded tires they use on the ice racing bikes!

Dan,
It could've been you breaking in a bike for someone else not willing to ride on a skating rink. We know you better....if curiosity got the best of you.....you'd do it.

I'm not curious at all anymore Dan.
Back in the 80s I used to ride year round as long as the roads were clear. Well, one day I rode to work and during the day a freak snowstorm moved in and dumped about 6 inches of snow on the roads which then froze solid. I rode the 12 miles home and that satisfied any curiousity I had. Never again!

But I didn't think of hiding them until I already got the camera out. I was wishing that I didn't leave a bunch of prints getting the camera out of the bag :(
