Insurance costs in Canada are crazy. $1000 a year (six months of riding) for a retiree with no claims for 40+ years. The insurance companies also reduced the amount of accident benefits but premiums keep going up every year. Our car insurance renewal just came up for renewal. It was $360 more than last year ! I had to call and reduce the coverage on our vehicles but even so the renewal premium was still more than last year so I am getting less coverage but paying more this year !

I know they vary in different provinces, Ontario probably the worse.
I have a 2014 Challenger with full coverage that costs $200 less than the bike with minimal coverage, and is only used 6 months of the year.

3) The Bobber: 1994 VLX I'm currently powder coating and reassembling

4) The Enduro: TBD

I've also got a 2007 Honda ST1300. Talk about different!!! Both are great bikes for their intended purpose; that and my 05 Nomad.

Jealous, I can not afford one for a while. Yet Drool for an adventure style bike. Looking to purchase a KLR650 or Versys 650. Anything less and I can not take much of a trip. Camping gear is already geared toward back packing, and ready to use on the future bike. If I can get one I will be able to Off road to Hammock sites in Stealth mode. The Vaquero is not so good off road. HA HA
