Whoa...They shut down at work for Thursday. Seems Fay has connections. On the bright side, it looks like an average storm, just rain and some wind. The dog seems to think the rain is therapeutic. It must be something in the water...lol

Well, this is the Port St. Lucie update; SUCKS.
We got 10 - 12 inches of rain in the last 36 hours! Massive flooding. Streets under water. 65 mph winds for 18 + hours. A section of highway U.S.1 is under water... ALL 8 lanes... For about 1/2 mile... and it's about 10 inches to 2 feet deep.
This thing got stronger over land due to the 'glades and Lake O. Wow, we are BEAT.
I have no damage to the house ( lucky!) and all are well. Never lost power (!) but internet just now works.
I have lived here since '68 but I have had enough; 4 storms in 4 years. The brides nerves are shot as well.
But we made out better than others. Some tornados damaged homes and mobile homes in the area. I checked on older people I know in the area to make sure they were OK. ( they were fine)
Thanks for the thoughts. I just worry about the REST of the state.

Sebastian had 18.6 inchs of rain so far but Brevard County seems to have more flooding. I guess we have better drains. I am ready to ride. Darn storm. :(" title="" border="0"/>

No riding for me this weekend. Fay is on our side of the coast now and it is a rainy, blustery day! No school, which means we have missed 3 practices this week...which sucks because we open with our preseason game next Friday.

I'd say ride safe but I know that the appropriate term is "stay dry" :(" title="" border="0"/>

We are glad to hear that everyone is okay.

Haven't been on the board much lately. Been working a lot - my college who works the opposite shift from me has been out having surgery. Glad to hear doing okay. The news keeps saying Fay just won't go away. :-/

I headed out Friday around 2 PM on a 300 mile ride, made it less than a mile befor I got dumped on so I went home and waited for Saturday morning. The weather was great all the way to Sarasota. Not ten minutes after I parked the bike all heck broke loose. Coming home Sunday the weather was even better.

We're down here visiting Ft. Myers Beach and there is a lot of water still trying to dry up, but we're having a nice visit. Seen lots of bikes out, but we took the bird down, so we're just jealous of those having fun on the bikes.

We are plotting it very closely too Joe. Just a twitch and things can change.
We are hoping it misses us all. A idiot said on the radio that a storm will be "good" for Florida. What a fool. NO part of a hurricane is "good" for anyone.
