When we going to get a brake

After another rain storm last night dropping 2 1/2 inches of rain we are having a little sun today. Between the rain and the 20+ mph wind we have lost about 90% of our tree leaves. Most of which are not where I would like them to be. They fall in the drive and blow up on the porch, fill up the gutters on the house and pile up in front of the garage doors. I have burnt 2 tanks of fuel trying to blow them somewhere that they won't cause me so much trouble. The only good thing about this is that the woods will be more open with the leaves gone and easier to spot deer. Bad thing is it will harder to sneak into the stand with the leaves crunching under your feet.

I know! I know! In every life a little rain must fall.

Easier for the deer to see you also Jim. But I'm like you, it's a whole lot easier to spot them after the leaves fall.

How high is the water? I figure Mitch and Jim have plenty, I was watching part of the storm that went through north MS, looked bad on the weather channel. Glad I was here!

We only got a little over 1/2" today Jesse. Not near as much as further North. We have more coming tonight though. I'm working so I'll watch it fall from the control room. We have several surveillance cameras scattered throughout the plant and at the front gate which is 1 mile from where we are.

Everyone stay safe and be careful. this weather is something else this year. I don't think we have ever had so much water. Wettest summer and fall I can remember.

Whoop!!! Just checked the weather forcast and no rain forcasted for the next 8 days. Temps in the high 50's with low's in the upper 30's. Might get some more afternoon rides in next week.

When we going to get a brake

Leaving for Humboldt, TN (near Jackson) Thursday morning. If the forecast is correct, it will be nice through the weekend. Leather weather.
