Glad everyone is OK. Tough life without power. Hope that gets fixed much quicker than the predictions.

Lost several shingles that resulted in several roof leaks.
Lost an oak treea and a pecan tree.
Did get power back last night, God is good!

I'm just glad it's over.

Scott

Doing good now. Had one of my roof vents blow off, but I got that fixed already along w/ putting my neighbor's shingles back on his house. I powered the essentials at my house and my neighbors w/ my generator. Like BT said....I had to drive about 20 miles to find a gas station that worked. Other than that...all is good. Power was restored to my house last night. There's LOTs of tree damage around my location though. Dodged a big one.

Glad to hear everybody else has made it out safely though!!!!

Yepper...Brookshire is where I went! I only live about 22miles from there down 359.

I haven't heard anything about water/ice etc...but if there is any way I can help, let me know. We have plenty of water and I've got 2 freezers.... not sure if that'll help ya much or not, but I'll certainly do what I can to help.

Just so everybody knows...LW is fine. He was able to post in one of the other threads, but I'll post what he sent me here. Glad he's good!!!!

Thanks dude, we're good, and will be better as soon as the power comes back on. I bought a generator yesterday morning and it is running the fridge, freezer TV and other absolutel necessities for the girls. I have been at the station except for short bursts to check on them and refill the tank.

Damage-wise we were lucky. I lost about an 8 foot section of one hip ridge probably to the back side of the eye. but otherwise all is well.

I'll be bowed-up for a while till it slacks off here and going back to work at the plant tomorrow night, so I wont be back in for a little while but if anyone asks we're OK.

Amen!

Scott, you need help cuttin/clearing those trees? I have a chain saw and found out a bit ago that I dont have to go to work til Friday on nights. They re-energized our neighborhood right about dark-thirty tonight so we are "almost nearly but not quite hardly" back to normal.

BT, if the size of the crews is any indication on how long it will take to get y'all hooked up again, hopefully it wont be too long. Conroe's mayor called Harris County Judge Ed Emmett asking if he could borrow the Astrodome to house some of the 18,000 linemen/mechanics/support folks that Entergy had coming in to work in the area. I know y'all are out in Splendora, but there looks like there is lots of help streaming in. Friend of mine has a shop on 10-East and said looking out his office window today he saw convoy aftert convoy of lift and service trucks coming in from the East. It's good to have neighbors and friends when the bad stuff happens.

I talked to a power crew yesterday and he said there is alot of line and pole damage and would not give me a estimated time of repair, but he did say since we are on the same grid as the main fuel source for my area that we would have power first in our area.
