Motorcycle?
Didn't think they should have gotten the motorcycle title to begin with, but now it's even more like a car.
Don't get me wrong, I think they're novel. But no way is this a bike. And now they have a roof and full windshield. And they could have at least had the shield follow the lines of the pillars.

I have driven one several times and they are a blast, but you are right it is not a motorcycle.

Polaris attempted to have the stingers licensed in every state as an automobile when they originally introduced them. Most of the states failed to recognize them for various reasons. The only option given to them was motorcycle, (fancy trike). Last I heard they are still fighting the battle to get them moved to the automobile class. Why? Don't know, just the info I got from my local Polaris dealer.

They tried to title them as motorcycles in Texas and ran into problems with that. Doesn't meet the requirements here defined as a motorcycle. No saddle type seat. Not sure how much money they gave the state, but they finally did get them to allow it. Would think it would fail more safety regulations titled as a car.

The Reliant was a nightmare ! One wheel at the front, 2 at the rear.
The ones that did not wreck by turning over were destroyed by fire.

There is a Slingshot in Savanah Ill done like the BatMobile. It looks good, but still not a motorcycle...
If (when?) I go three wheels, it'll be a Spyder... |

My brother in law had a Spyder for years. Really liked it. My sister didn't like it when it hit bumps or holes. Said she felt everyone. Just traded it in not too long ago for a Goldwing trike.

I do believe the Fed is what is driving the classification......if it doesn't have at least four wheels it can't be considered an auto. The English Morgan is another good example. I'm going to test drive one of them one day.

The big deal is having to comply with helmet laws.

I wouldn't mind taking a spin in one. I don't hate them, I just don't see how something with pedals, bucket seats and a steering wheel can even come close to being a bike.
And is there some kind of law that says you have to bling the sh*t out of them? Saw one the other evening going down the road. Looked like small, mobile whore house.

There was a time, under British law, that you could ride/drive,a 3 wheeler with a learners licence. That applied to chairs too.( motorcycle & sidecar) to you yanks. So no crash helmet was required either. As a learner, you were stuck with a 250cc.Many a young man bought a 650cc bike, and bolted a chair onto it to get around the law. Some of us ended up in hospital.
