license plate move-up
Wanted to move tag up, saw Thunder sold a bracket for $50. Figured the stock bracket had enough material to play around with, just wanted to lose the rear reflector and mount the tag there. After taking it all apart, saw there were 3 holes behind the reflector, 2 of them spaced almost perfectly already, just too small. Drilled out while still attached on bike, flipped the license plate bracket and bolted it up. Tag still straight up and down like it was in original loc. 5-10 mins & 0 dollars. Searched around for awhile, hadn't seen anything similar, so I'm posting this. If someone else figured it out already, I couldn't find it. Wanted to see more of the lower fender skirt, too, there will be some graphics there next year.KIMG0002.jpg

Basically take off the license plate and the reflector above it, you'll see what I'm talking about. The bracket the plate attaches to will unbolt from the main bracket and you can move it up after enlargening the holes the reflector covered up.

Looks good. I'm not replacing any light fixtures until after I ride Beartooth Highway & Going to the Sun Road in 2018. I kinda like the looks of the strip LEDs that install vertical on the inside edge of the bags, but I don't wanna blow a light and not be able to find a replacement bulb 4 states away from home. I'm getting some paint done and a 21" front wheel this winter, but the stocker 16 is going back on the front for the long ride, you can get a 130/90/16 tire at almost any brand dealer anywhere......
