Hey, from Cut and Shoot, Tx
Hello,
This is my first time on a bike, I am set to pick up my 1999 Kawasaki Nomad 1500 this week. I got an awesome deal on it and am looking forward to interacting more and more with you in the months to come. I got the bike because I am 31 and have wanted one since I was 18. Please ask the person(s) you are buying the bike from if the Plastic Oil Gear has been changed. Very important that it has been.

Welcome from southern NC. Hey Superman, you might want to find out if the oil gear on the '99 has been changed out. The '99 year model came with a plastic oil gear which has been prone to failure. The '00 models and newer came with a steel gear.

Welcome from the Black Hills of SD............first time on a bike and you bought a Nomad eh? I would advise taking the MSF course even if you do have God on your side. Never hurts to be safe.

Welcome Superman. Most people start out on a smaller bike before advancing into the 800-900 pound class. Be sure to take the time to get comfortable and adept at handling the bike. A large empty parking lot is a good place to practice. Practice not only turns and low speed handling but master braking also. Be safe.
