JussMatt, Thanks for the offer but as long as I can keep finding gas the generator will keep the frig and freezer running.

I just got an update from the power company. They are estimating it will be 10/05/08 to have my power back on.

I'm tired of this - it's not fun anymore and I am missing good riding weather now that it has cooled off

I posted a message on the main forum. We are alive and well. The electricity is back on and we are feeling lucky that we didn't have any major damage to property or vehicles. Thank goodness for the generator. I allowed us to run both refrigerators and a small window unit in the game room. We were much more comfortable than after Rita. I hope everyone else came out ok.

Well I am a happy camper today. The power and water have been restored. Ahhhhhhhh a nice hot shower.LOL
It is amazing a simple thing like a hot shower will raise your spirits.
Paul I am glad you and your lovely wife are OK.

Thanks guys.... The pics are pretty amazing!!!! It's really wild looking at all the distruction that happened, but the truly AMAZING part is how people have come together to help each other out. This will take years to recover from!
